Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

Configuration and Problem Diagnostics

Serve as Workday and other Business Systems security administrator, with a deep acumen of Workday’s security framework and cross platform business processes to drive and adopt and business processes for HCM, Financials, Payroll and Adaptive.
Overall Security architecture and governance across the Workday platform (HCM, Compensation, Payroll, Time Tracking and Recruiting, Talent and performance and Finance), and other systems.
Configure, maintain and advise on security within Workday. This includes domain security policies, roles, and role assignments
Configure, implement and maintain various security groups such as role-based/position-based roles.
Conduct in-depth analysis and research to problems using the Workday Admin guides, Workday Community and colleagues.
Create and update security policies, domains, segmented security, role-based /user-based roles.
Respond to audit requests and security-based inquiries.
Define security governance and controls based on data privacy and security best practices.
Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and improvements to security design.
Respond to campus security requests through our ticket management system.
Perform audits on system roles and access logs to ensure accuracy.
Provide security design recommendations to business partners and senior leaders.
Provide oversight by auditing our security environment.
Collaboration

Lead large scale projects such as transitioning Mines from user based security to Position based security.
Establish and maintain effective communication channels between Data Stewards, the Business Systems and Function Support team and different departments, teams, or business units.
Act as the point of contact for employees and managers seeking HCM, Finance and Payroll, guidance, or support regarding security.
Collaborate with department heads and managers to understand their specific HR, Finance, Payroll and Department needs and challenges.
Conduct training sessions to help users understand and effectively utilize technology resources. This could involve one-on-one sessions, group workshops, or online training materials.
Collaborate with other IT teams, such as network administrators, database administrators, and developers, to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
Documentation and Knowledge Base

Create comprehensive documentation of system changes in our document library that includes a security dictionary and index.
Document each customer interaction, including the issue, resolution, and any additional information.
Maintain detailed records of user interactions, technical issues, and solutions provided. Create and update documentation, knowledge base articles, SOPS, workflows and FAQs to facilitate self-help resources for users.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of a knowledge base to facilitate quicker issue resolution.
Understanding and documentation of current business processes
SOP/ Workflow documentation and maintenance
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field
Five or more years of relevant technical experience
Three or more years of experience in Workday
Hands on Workday Security configuration experience including domains, BP security policies, creating security groups and authentication policies
An Agile mindset with a drive toward delivering value through continuous improvements aligned to business needs
Comfort and experience communicating in all levels of the organization
Demonstrated analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
