Job Description

Summary

This position is to support daily operations for the neonatal nutrition research team.The selected candidate will recruit, screen, enroll, and consent study participants. Oversee and participate in research data collection and entry.Candidate will be part of the Neonatology Nutrition program.

The ideal candidate will be aRegistered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) of the American Dietetic Association and a Licensed Dietitian by the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR).

Job Duties

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of infant nutrition-related research studies: interviews, screens and recruits' patients for study, explains process and procedures to educate participant regarding the research study.
  • Maintain regulatory documentation for research studies and maintains clinicaltrials.gov listings in compliance with BCM Institutional Review Board.
  • Prepares submission documents for internal and external regulatory bodies.
  • Manage all aspects of active research studies including screening patients, enrolling and consenting patients and ensuring compliance to research protocols.
  • Oversees and coordinates the collection and entry of research data collects patient information, processes document and enters information into databases.
  • Communicate effectively and work well independently.
  • Manage tasks and serve as nutrition expert to Research Coordinator I and Research Assistants.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field.Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • Five years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in a related field.
  • Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) of the American Dietetic Association and a Licensed Dietitian by the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR).
