Job Description
Job SummaryWe are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Salesforce Developer to join our team. In this role, you will assist in building, customizing, and supporting Salesforce applications while gaining hands-on experience working with Salesforce technologies, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and more as we migrate from a legacy org to a new Education Cloud org.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in the development and customization of Salesforce applications, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
· Work closely, including pair-programming sessions, with the lead developer to implement solutions based on client requirements.
· Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality of Salesforce applications.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, QA, and clients, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of solutions.
· Assist in the integration of Salesforce with third-party applications and external systems.
· Maintain and support existing Salesforce applications and features, ensuring high availability and performance.
· Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
· Stay updated with the latest Salesforce developments, tools, and technologies. Be ready and willing to wear multiple “hats” and jump into admin tasks (flows, permissions, page layouts, experience sites, etc.) as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Preferences
Requirements:
· Basic understanding of Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.) and its features.
· Familiarity with Salesforce development tools, VS Code, Workbench, Dev Console, etc.
· Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
· Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
· Able to diagram/document processes using tools such as LucidChart
· Eagerness to learn and grow within the Salesforce ecosystem.
· Able to switch between multiple projects at a time. We are a small team and as such, flexibility and adaptability are key to success here.
Preferred:
· Bachelor’s degree in Stem field or related experience
· Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
· Salesforce certified
