Job Description
Job SummaryInstalls, maintains and upgrades enterprise-wide information system software to assure effective system operation. Establishes data and program migration procedures and provides input into major upgrade and system implementation plans. Provides technical assistance to developers, database administrators, and systems programmers. Provides training and assistance to system administrators. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferably in computer science or related field.
Four (4) years of experience with visual programming languages, operating systems i.e. Unix, PC environment, networking and relational database systems.
Experience administering e-business software i.e. PeopleSoft human capital management, finance and student environments.
Experience administering open-source UNIX-like operating systems, i.e. Linux and Windows based servers.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with regulatory compliance software.
Experience managing and applying software tax updates.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Knowledge of relational databases, multi-domain systems, enterprise-wide information systems.
Ability to setup, troubleshoot and maintain open-source UNIX-like operating systems, i.e. Linux & Windows based systems.
Fundamental understanding of enterprise systems architecture.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and excellent interpersonal skills and have a “Customer Focus” attitude and delivery.
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships and work as an individual contributor and an effective team player, in addition to being highly organized, self-directed, and forward-thinking.
Ability to effectively engage with team members when issues arise to ensure appropriate communication and develop effective resolution plans.
Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines and tackle emergencies and difficult situations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint or an equivalent software package.
