Job Description
Job Description:The Research Data Analyst will have primary responsibility for conducting data analysis to support ongoing research projects within the laboratory. The position focuses on (1) performing data analysis on single-cell sequencing and spatial transcriptomics datasets, (2) creating and maintaining project-specific analytical files, and (3) supporting the preparation of technical documentation and research reports. The Data Analyst will conduct analyses within established protocols and under the direction of the Principal Investigator and senior research staff to ensure accurate, reproducible, and high-quality results for internal reports and manuscript preparation.
The lab of Dr. Sendurai Mani is dedicated to investigating the biology of Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition (EMT) and identifying the drivers of the cancer stem cell phenotype. The lab seeks to identify resistance mechanisms and develop strategies to prevent and overcome therapy resistance and metastatic progression using preclinical models and profiling patient tumor samples at the single-cell level.
This is a fixed term position with a current end date of 4/30/2027, which may be extended based upon available funding.
Education and Experience
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Biology, or related field.
Required: 0 to 3 years of related experience.
Experience with genomics or high-dimensional biological data is highly desired.
Experience with statistical programming is highly desired.
And/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
